About Metamorphosis

I have a passion for working with those exploring their sexual and gender identity as well as individuals that have experienced and trauma. The therapy I provide is tailored to your individual needs and can help you facilitate personal growth and development. Therapy is most effective when you feel safe and respected. I would be honored to provide that space for you. I view my work with you as a collaborative process. I want to learn more about you and understand the problems you are facing from your perspective. All the work I do is meant to support your strength and resiliency.

I have been working as a therapist for seven years and have experience in a variety of settings from an inpatient facility for trauma and sexual compulsivity to an outpatient substance use treatment facility. No problem is too difficult for me to handle. I have specialized training in sex and love addiction from the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP), and cognitive behavioral therapy training from the Beck institute. I am a certified yoga instructor and I often incorporate somatic techniques such as mindfulness, meditation, and yoga into my therapeutic practice.

I have been trained by the EMDR Institute which was founded by the creator of EMDR Francine Shapiro. EMDR is a therapy technique that enables people to heal from symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of traumatic experiences ranging from adverse childhood experiences to sexual assault. Experiences from your past often impact your present and future concerns. Through EMDR therapy I can help you find resolution. Repeated studies show that by using EMDR therapy people can experience the benefits of long term trauma treatment in only a few sessions.

My knowledge and experience can help you develop awareness, process traumatic events, learn coping skills, and decrease your emotional reactivity. I want to give you the tools to cope with life on life's terms. The therapy I provide is LGBTQ+ affirming.
